We at Alpes d’Or are attending the Cork Chocolate and Baking Weekend 2018 which takes place in The Cork International Hotel this weekend. The event starts this evening with the Cork Chocolate Dinner which we are privileged to be providing our luxurious Belgian praline chocolates for. At this dinner, guest chefs will be cooking and preparing different courses, each to be paired perfectly with a suitable wine. This evenings dinner is bound to provide an ostentatious feed for the senses. There are some very special guests attending this event and we at Alpes d’Or are looking forward to meeting them.

Mr Paul A Young – World renowned British chocolatier will be in attendance this weekend. Mr Erik Van Der Veken, Belgian Chocolatier will be giving talks and holding workshops.  Mr Paul Kelly who is The Executive Pastry chef in the Merrion Hotel Dublin will be in attendance also.  As well as this, Mr Kelly will be a judge of the main event of the weekend – The Great Cork Bake Off.

On Saturday and Sunday of the Cork Chocolate and Baking weekend, there will be mini tasting rooms and workshops along with different educational and informative classes on chocolate, sustainability and the overall detailed tempering and manufacturing method that is synonymous with the chocolate making process. There will also be exhibitor stands providing the best quality Chocolate, food and treats for all attendees. Make sure to visit our Alpes d’Or stand where we will be providing our luxurious chocolates to all guests attending.

On Sunday, The Great Cork Bake Off takes place, with judge Mr Paul Kelly – Executive Pastry Chef in the Merrion Hotel Dublin and judge of the great Irish Bake Off. This promises to be a fantastic event with so many sweet treats and magnificent displays showcased.
